Benjamin Britten (1813-1976) - The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, op.34, Simple Symphony, Op.4, Variations on a theme of Frank Bridge, Op.10 e Peter Grimes, Op.33

Eis aqui um dos meus compositores ingleses favoritos. Britten nasceu em uma cidade bem próximo ao mar. As águas revoltas da costa do condado de Suffolk ficaram gravadas na memória do compositor. A imagem poderosa do mar, seguida pelo efeito inebriante do movimento marítimo, ajudaram a formar uma ontologia. Deve ser por isso, que "o mar" sempre esteve presente em boa parte de suas obras. Este delicioso disco, traz pelo menos quatro obras do compositor. Outra questão interessante é que as obras são conduzidas pelo próprio Britten. Não deixe de ouvir. Uma boa apreciação!
