G. F. Handel (1685-1759) - Messiah

Tenho uma admiração profunda pelo Messias, de Handel. Em minha humilde opinião, trata-se de uma das mais bonitas obras de todos os tempos. A musicalidade é elevada; a evocação dos temas cristãos, sublime; o frescor espiritual,  indescritível. Até mesmo a alma mais renitente, o incrédulo mais contumaz acaba por admitir que existe "algo" após ouvir esta obra. Claro, estou brincando. Apenas uma gracejo. A estrutura em três partes ajuda-nos a entender todo o drama da história da salvação e redenção, bem como a esperança para todo aquele que vive e coloca no Messias a sua inabalável convicção. Handel compilou trechos dos textos do Antigo e Novo Testamentos e construiu uma catedral sonora onde essa música extraordinária ganha as alturas. É algo bastante edificante ouvi-la! Esta versão com John Butt é bastante bonita. Não deixe de ouvir. Uma boa apreciação!
