George Frideric Handel (1685-1760) - Oratorios - Saul, HWV 53 e Messiah, HWV 56

Disquinho especial para comemorar o momento. "É Natal!" - grita o mundo. Existem razões para isso. A cristandade reúne motivos. A história nos legou um mito. Estabelecemos acordos. Firmamos a convenção necessária. Mas, mesmo em face de uma "desculpa" histórica para a suposta data do nascimento de Cristo, a arte ocidental nos legou alguns motivos para alento. Certamente, um deles é a obra de Handel, O Messias. É um dos trabalhos mais belos sobre a vida de Jesus. Junta uma pedagogia bonita, que segue os eventos históricos e trans-históricos, concernentes à vida do Messias - a promessa, vida e morte e a expectativa da volta do Messias. Belíssima obra! Não gostei da abordagem do Jacobs. Pareceu-me mais rápida do que o convencional. Essa é uma obra para ser refletida, sentida, contemplada. Por isso, penso, faz-se necessário uma abordagem mais lenta e reflexiva. A outra obra do disco é o oratório Saul, em homenagem ao primeiro rei bíblico de Israel. Ainda não a escutara. Não deixe de ouvir. Uma boa apreciação!

Maravilhosa a interpretação de o Messias...Acredito que das obras eruditas talvez seja a que mais combine com o Natal..
Encantadora a interpretação...não sei se é somente pela qualidade da gravação, pois é muito recente, mas diria que tornou-se talvez minha versão preferida.
