George Frideric Handel (1685-1760) - Messiah, HWV 56

O Messias, de Handel, é uma das obras mais belas já compostas em toda a história da música - tanto pela forma, quanto pela beleza evocadora e estética. É, com certeza, um das obras que mais escutei em minha existência. Ela possui uma divisão didática bastante interessante: uma sinfonia inicial, como que a proclamar a vinda do messias; em um segundo momento, surge a vida e obra propriamente dita do messias; e em um terceiro momento, Handel nos coloca diante da expectativa da ressurreição e da vida, já que o messias foi o primeiro a vencer a morte e triunfar na eternidade. O texto é uma colagem de passagens bíblicas extraídos dos livros proféticos, da poesia hebraica (salmos), dos evangelhos, apocalipse e cartas de Paulo. A grandiosidade dessa obra enaltece o gênio humano. Não consigo ouvir sem sentir um grande prazer e uma profunda emoção. Não deixe de ouvir. Uma boa apreciação!
